Week 3, Day 12
March is finally over! I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe.
In April we will introduce the letters P and B. Our themes will focus on “spring animals” and “rain”. We will explore the books “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle and “What Makes a Rainbow?” by Betty Schwartz.
Here are some activities for today:
Arts and Crafts: Assist your child as needed. Let them be as independent as possible (See example below)
Supplies: construction paper, Scissors, Yarn, Glue
Draw a cloud on construction and help your child write his/her name on the cloud
Cut out the cloud
Make raindrops out of construction paper
Spell out your child’s name on the raindrops (1 letter per raindrop) Your child can trace over the letters or write them out independently
Glue a piece of yarn per raindrop on the back of the cloud
Glue a raindrop on the other end of the yarn to spell out your child’s name
